Come visit picturesque Bridgeport, where you can fish for some of the finest trout in the west! The last two California State Record Brown Trout came out of Twin Lakes! The current record trout was caught from the Upper Twin Lake, and the previous record from Lower Twin. The Bridgeport Valley also offers great fishing in its reservoir, streams and rivers!
Our valley offers many great adventures, such as, boating, camping, hiking, biking, bird watching and winter sports. Visit our 1880 Mono County Courthouse, which is still in use today, and is the oldest operating courthouse in California. The Mono County Museum is a great way to learn about Bridgeport's rich history.
Join us on 4th of July, and celebrate the oldest continuous Fourth of July celebration within the continental United States! Activities include, parade, arts & crafts vendors, pancake breakfast, bar-b-que, Courthouse lawn activities, mud volleyball, softball tournament, and top off your celebration with an exceptional fireworks display!!
